Chargebacks and refunds

Privacy does not process chargebacks or refunds for subscription cancellations.

When you cancel, you keep access to the content until the end of the contracted period. After that, with no new payment, the content becomes unavailable.

When a request can be reviewed

  • Non-performance by the creator: if the creator does not deliver what was promised, the refund or chargeback request is reviewed case by case, according to applicable law. It may be denied in cases of bad faith, abuse of rights or misuse of the platform.
  • Proven fraud: send the request to [email protected]. The responsible team reviews the case and may request documents, such as a police report.
  • Privacy Wallet balance: the amount topped up cannot be withdrawn or refunded, except where the law provides otherwise. In case of undue charge, service failure or fraud, contact [email protected] with the evidence. If the right to a refund is recognized, it is preferably made as credit in the Wallet.

How to avoid an unwanted charge

  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the same contracted period. To avoid being charged at the next renewal, turn off Automatic Renewal on the creator's profile or ask support at least 24 hours before the end of the cycle.
  • Mimos (tips) and Challenges are voluntary payments and are not refundable.

Credit card disputes

If you dispute the charge directly with the card issuer, Privacy may cancel the transaction and deduct the amount from the creator's balance. Before disputing, talk to support.

Cancellations made by Privacy

Privacy may cancel transactions on its own initiative whenever it identifies signs of fraud, irregularity or non-compliance with the platform's policies.

Basis: Privacy Terms of Use, section 3, Subscriptions and Purchases.
